This presentation will describe the different types of Compulsive Acquiring & Buying, as well as the reasons and signs of Compulsive Acquiring / Buying. Attendees will learn treatment options and ways for productivity and organizing professionals to address the issues with their clients.

Kathleen D. Crombie, M.A., M.Ed, In Order to...Organize
Kathleen D. Crombie earned a Master of Arts and Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, New York in 1989. Her specialty was in Cross Cultural Psychology. Kathleen worked for 19 years as an inpatient Psychiatric Treatment Coordinator / Social Worker in a community hospital in Berkeley, CA, including facilitating support groups. She received additional training utilizing cognitive behavioral therapies.
In 2009, Kathleen established a private practice to include cognitive-behavioral consulting and coaching for chronic disorganization, ADHD, parenting and grief issues with high-ability and gifted children and adults. Kathleen and her team in SF Bay Area and Chicago Area offer office consultation and counseling, “Buried in Treasures” groups, in home assessment and in home organizing. Kathleen was an active team member on the San Francisco Hoarding Task force from 2012-2017.
